Hello!
My name is Natalia Pispini. I am a composer of contemporary classical music.
As a Russian-native, I received my highest music education in former USSR. My professional path consists of piano studies in childhood, musicology studies in college, further musicology studies and specialization in ethnomusicology in conservatory, doctoral degree, fieldwork recordings, work in archives and research on traditional music, as well as teaching music subjects at various levels. In 2014, I started composing my own music, and soon it became the ‘focal point’ of my activities.
My music is inspired by Russian cultural heritage and by Siberian musical traditions as well. Currently I am splitting my time between the Middle East and Greece, places that inspire me and provide with new ideas, images and tunes. I am also passionate about reviewing music composing techniques developed in the past, and incorporating them into my individual creative schemes. At the same time, my special concern is to embrace contemporary approaches, and experiments with new music structures, scales, rhythms and polyphony techniques are necessary parts of my artistic agenda. I am also searching my own ways in electronic music.
